Aufnahmen dieser einzigartigen Landschaft stehen im Zentrum.
Das Leben in den verschiedenen Vegetationszonen wird dokumentiert. In den Teegärten der südlichen Täler, in den Kardamomplantagen, bei Kleinbauern.
Besuch in einem ländlichen Computerzentrum.

Wir begleiten einen Treck zum letzten Pass vor dem Gletscher des Kangchenchunga... Eine Gelegenheit, die Lebensbedingungen der Träger, der Köche und der qualifizierten Führer kennenzulernen. Protagonist ist der tibetischstämmige Guide Phassang Buthia, der auch den Zugang zu seinen Mitarbeitern erschließt.

In Ralong, einem großen, aktiven buddhistischen Kloster(!).
Beim Chaam-Ritual. Sowohl der Alltag in einem buddhistischen Kloster als auch die geheimnissvollen Rituale finden Beachtung.

Das Leben in der Hauptstadt Gangtok wird durch die Begleitung einer jungen, gut ausgebildeten Sikimmerin dargestell....

Es wird Material für 2 TV-Beitrage mit sehr geringen Bildüberschneidungen produziert:

1. AT: Ein modernes Shangri-La? Mittelalter trifft Moderne in Sikkim/ India (möglich für ein arte-Format)

2. AT: Am Fuße des Kangchenchunga, des unbekannten Giganten ( möglich für ein Format bei Discovery-Channel)


Kurztreatment is tech film production jargon - who knows what the correct English term is?? No guesswork please, I can do that myself.

Oh and I'm also struggling with 1.AT and 2.AT ....

Nicole,just a guess, but isn't 1 AT and 2 AT simply the short term for "ANTENNA"/aka channel 1 or 2?

As for Kurztreatment: short treatment - is it really that simple? Maybe I just need reassurance from all you film buffs out there ....

Hi, yes: short treatment, outline, synopsis, one-page overview - give me a thesaurus and I'll come up with something .... But i'm no expert in film making lingo and am hoping that there might be someone out there who has experience in this area. TIA :-)

Short treatment

Almost embarrased to post this, but it does seem to be a direct translation. There is quite a few hits on google... See examples below...

Short treatment=a literary summary or presentation of a film's story (acc. to the second reference).
Example sentence:

The script was based on a short treatment titled Naomi Negress!, written by Alice B. Russell

More out of frustration than anything else, I wrote a short treatment to summarize the type of movie we were looking for. Doing this added a lot of shape and clarity to the idea and enabled me to come up with something richer than a dry synopsis.

"Short" is okay, but "brief" is standard and a bit more professional-sounding.
Example sentence:

Prepare and present a brief treatment for a film about Australians in Thailand.

agree Bernhard Sulzer : I suppose that would be okay. We never used "brief" treatment in school but you're the expert. It seems the length can vary, although I understand it as a rather short (3-10 pages long) summary.
