Предложение такое: Катастрофическое сокращение запасов питьевой воды, .......... и прочие бедствия способны вызвать ....... , бунты сотен миллионов голодающих против непомерно сытой элиты и, как следствие, - анархию, беспредел, хаос

agree Rachel Douglas : I like "inordinately" a lot, and "well-fed" is good because if you went for "inordinately satiated," it would begin to sound like something from Kipling's "Just So Stories."

Elite might have numerous variants 'jet set', 'cream of society' etc....
