Does anybody have a good translation for this term? It comes up in a text on insurance for long-term care, it is a discentive for not taking out relevant insurance.

In other words, if the family doesn't have sufficient income to cover the insurance contributions required, the insurance company puts a lien on the estate of the person whose care costs are insured, so that they will eventually recover the shortfall from that person's estate.
