German term

Vollstreckung gegen Sicherheitsleistung

German to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Quelle: Scheidungsurteil

The husband is released from averting the enforcement by way of security in the amount of 110% of the amount to be collected, if the wife does not pay a security in the same amount before the time of enforcement.

Bin dankbar fuer saemtliche Erklaerungen, Uebersetzungen, usw.!!!

German term (edited): Vollstreckung gegen Sicherheitsleistung abzuwenden

to forestall levy of execution by (BE) furnishing security/(AE) posting bond

The question might better read: gegen Sicherheitsleistung abwenden as Vollstreckung gegen Sicherheitsleistung is misleading and shifts the emphasis away from the reason for the payment.

Collateral (note spelling) is not used in this non-financial context.

'The husband is given leave to forestall levy of execution by putting up security to the extent (tune) of 110% of the value of the amount to be recovered, unless the wife pays security pre-enforcement'.

Note (civil) bond and not (BE: criminal) bail/(AE criminal) bail-bond.
Peer comment(s):

neutral gangels (X) : can prevent execution of judgment by a posting of bond in the amount etc

I agree with bond for the US.
