Italian term
corte arbitrale di giustizia nobiliare
Italian to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
I am translating a document issued by this court, and it is literally a case deciding whether or not the person in question is entitled to be considered noble....
Not being in any way noble myself, I am uncertain how to translate the name of the court - is there a court of this kind that decides on questions pertaining to hereditary titles and the like in the UK that might be considered equivalent?

College of Arms
I'm not sure whether I should be worried about knowing the answer to this. The College of Arms doesn't technically cover the whole UK, as Scotland has the Lyon Court.

Thanks to you both, I'm not sure I can use College of Arms in this case, but the reference material has been extremely helpful! |
