Dal 1997 ricopre cariche operative nella Federazione Italiana Mediatori Agenti d’Affari di Milano (FIMAA Milano) come membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione (1997), come membro di Giunta (2002), come Vicepresidente operativo (2003-2008) e attualmente è Vicepresidente Vicario (2009) .

It's the use of operativo with a small "o" that's bothering me. Thank you.

Executive deputy chairperson / chairman / chairwoman

I would avoid "vice president", because it does not indicate the number two person in US companies. Large US companies can even one or two hundred "vice presidents". You can choose the version of chairperson according to the degree of political corretness you want. "operational" would do in place of exective, since this isn't actually a company, although the terminology they are using is much the same.

Might be equivalent, see following reference:

Bernhard è stato capo dell' Amg dal 1999 al 2001, poi è diventato *COO* di Chrysler (*cioè vicepresidente operativo*) dal 2001 al 2004.

Interestingly, "Vicepresidente operativo" - in Spanish - appears to be translated quite frequently as COO.
