In fact, the terms attachment, levy, seizure, and garnishment are rather interchangeable.
Nevertheless, because they all occur in the same text, the different definitions must be made.
Here is the sentence:
Accounts are subject to attachment, levy, seizure, and garnishment law.
What is the definition of each of the terms? Thanks in advance for

Garnishment. A form of civil preliminary or postjudgment relief, garnishment is granted when the plaintiff asks the judge for an order that requires one who owes a debt (i.e., an employer to its employee, a bank to its account holder) to withhold paying it to the defendant until the court can determine whether the sum should be paid instead to the plaintiff to satisfy a judgment.
