'As taves irgi pasiilgau' means that a person is still missing somebody, it is not confined to the past. Thus the translation of 'pasiilgau' - 'am missing'.

One should choose between 'I miss you ' and 'I am missing you', a form of the present tense. 'I missed you' would be 'As taves ilgejausi' or something like that.
