German term

gestellt

Non-PRO German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Hello all,

I'm not sure about "gestellt" in this sentence. Does this just mean "chosen from" or "is a member of X Department"?

"Der Administrator administriert technisch das Portal und unterstützt bei technischen Schwierigkeiten.
Der Administrator wird von der X-Abteilung gestellt."

Thanks very much!

Thanks for all your suggestions. The client clarified that "the administrator is a member of X department" was correct.
Francis Lee (X) Oct 23, 2007:
Ditto. I'd have suggested "provided by" (Brigitte)
Steffen Walter Oct 23, 2007:
@ Manuela & Brigitte - please post your suggestion as an answer. Thanks.
BrigitteHilgner Oct 23, 2007:
With Manuela: Department X provides ...
Manuela Junghans Oct 23, 2007:
Hi Hilary. I would say your second assumption is right, the administrator is a member of X department.
