petroleum naphtha slightly hydrated
Of course, water and naphtha do not mix.
What really happens is that a slight quantity of water remains dissolved in the naptha.
There are certain pesticides like Diazinon, that react with the water in the naphtha. The hydrolisis product is TEPP. One drop of TEPP on the skin of your arm causes death. Tetra ethyl pyro phosphate.
Naphtha for pesticide use must be dry.
Esters like cypermethrin, hydrolize if water is present.
