Je ne crois pas qu'un terme directement équivalent existe en Français ou du moins je ne l'ai jamais rencontré. j'utilise régulièrement le terme percentile dérivé de pourcentage, mais je n'est jamais entendu parler d'un éventuelle " tierile".

What is a Thirdile?
In a given data-set lets order the items so that x1 <= x2 <= ... <= xn (entries in increasing order). What we want to do is find
two numbers (q1 and q2) such that q1 and q2 divide our data set into three parts
I. x1 to q1
II. q1 to q2
III. q2 to xn
How can we make a formula for this though?
Given a data-set such that its items are ordered we first define some values
1. r = (n-1)/3
2. s = 2(r)
3. a = floor(r)
4. b = floor(s)
