German term
NU-Metallbuchse
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Manufacturing
componet of medical device
I'm happy with metal bushing for metallbuchse, but what on earth is NU?
Sorry, but there are no clues at all, except for a picture of a very unremarkable metal fitting stuck through a plastic casing.

German term (edited):
Mu-Metallbuchse
mu-metal bushing
supposing this has nothing to do with music (nu-metal - cover your ears!), it could be a typo for Mu-Metall (from the Greek character mu) for the purpose of magnetic shielding, so 'sleeve' might also fit the context

Note from asker:
not music, sadly. Probably not a typo either. Think it must be an in-house abbreviation. Thanks anyway. |
