not liquid assets but the type of assets that e.g. a property fund would use to invest the legally required proportion of liquid capital - or extra funds pending more permanent investment. Is "Liquidity assets" the best bet? Quite a few Ghits but somehow doesn't sound right.

assets for capital liquidity
I think you need to use a more specific description like the one above to get your point across. "Liquidity assets" does not imply that the assets are used for the capitalisation requirement.
