Bio

Accredited Professional Translator - Certified by the Arab Professional Translators Society (AR>EN)

I am eager to help you with your translation / translation-related needs!

Linguistic Experience

- I have done translation work and MTPE - open to taking on other tasks

General Background Information

- Recent graduate from George Mason University (Subjects: Geography, Arabic & Chinese)

- Studying Speech Pathology at Radford University

- Exposure to the healthcare field from 1 year of work as a CNA at a nursing center

Additional Linguistic Services Not Listed Above

1) Document recreation ($5 per page): If a client sends you a scanned copy of an English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Persian, French, or Japanese document, I can re-type it and get the formatting as close to the original as possible

2) Source language identification (flat fee - $1 if I can identify the language): If you receive a document from a client and you are unsure of the source language, I can help you - I have spent the past 3 years as a project manager in a language services company, and this is a task I am often charged with

Languages I can confidently identify:

    - I have intermediate conversational and reading fluency in French, Japanese and Persian

    - Reading proficiency in Georgian, Hindi/Nepali (due to family relations), Punjabi (due to my religious background - I can read Gurmukhi script and Shahmukhi script) and Tamil

    - Able to distinguish between languages that use the Perso-Arabic script for writing, as well as different Indian and Southeast Asian scripts

(Note that I CANNOT read any language that uses a Cyrillic script, so I can't distinguish between Russian, Ukrainian, etc.)
