Bio
A German native speaker, I have thirteen years of industry experience and a strong track record in multilingual business, finance and legal documentation. I offer translation, editing and proofreading services from English, French and Spanish into German. Ten years of residence in the UK and five in France have allowed me to home in on the finer nuances of these languages.
While translation is my business, languages and cultures are my passion. I have travelled the length and breadth of Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia and hold an MA in Languages and Literatures of Southeast Asia, with a focus on the Thai novel. My PhD research on the first novels from Siam (Thailand) and Ethiopia has challenged both my translation skills and enhanced my understanding of intercultural exchange and socio-political dynamics from a historical perspective.
