First of all, let me tell you what not to expect. Contrary to current trends, I do not churn out seven thousand words a day like a machine at bottom rates, nor do I specialize in legalese or overly technical subjects. If what you need, however, is the kind of creative writing that a machine will never be capable of, you've come to the right person.

For me, translating is a passion that's all about delivering a beautiful, coherent and polished end product that your target audience will enjoy. Sometimes this means less typing, more thinking!

The kind of translation that focuses on correctly conveying the intended feelings and emotions to a target audience in the right style, rather than staying overly "faithful" to the phrasing of the source text, is called TRANSCREATION. This is what I like best, and therefore what I do best.

What do you expect from me?

Quality? Of course. Most people mention this as something that sets them apart from the crowd. For me, however, quality is a given. People who do not deliver quality work do not survive in this business. So let's talk about excellence instead. I always strive to give my texts the wow factor by combining my talent for creative writing and my professional translation training with the necessary research and proofreading, delivering an accurate and refined translation. Delivering it in time is another given.


What do I expect in return?

Firstly, I am always delighted to translate texts that spark my curiosity or my imagination in some way. After all, by accepting a job that I find dull, I wouldn't be doing anyone any favours. Not to worry, though: I am naturally very curious and interested in a wide variety of topics ranging from science to philosophy, from human rights to consumer products, and many more.
