This is an Argentine reader of the Hebrew Bible and Enrique Dussel:

: "Para muestra un botón" is a set phrase or idiom in Spanish. I thought most Spanish speakers would know this.

To illustrate this point, see this titbit/gem/pearl from the Torah
I discussed this with a non-Spanish speaking friend who has a degree in Classical Hebrew from Sydney University (and is liberal Jew) in order to ascertain if "button" meant something in Jewish culture to his knowledge. He did not think so but said that a button suggests something small but noteworthy. Hence my suggestions.

Sergio Kot
: "Basta" un botón. In this case, "basta" is of essence. "Button", on the other hand, is secondary.

: "Titbit" seems rather frivolous...

Yvonne Gallagher
: titbit/tidbit is completely wrong in this context and "gem" and "pearl" aren't much better

: "titbit/gem/pearl" is simply not the register for a Hebrew bible reader

An obvious example from the Torah:
La expresión completa is
Para muestra, un botón
Denota que no resulta necesario mostrarlo o enseñarlo todo, ya que de un ejemplo se puede deducir fácilmente todo lo que falta por descubrir.

De acuerdo con la respuesta de Beatriz, pero yo agregaría 'obvio' para darle el sentido total de la expresión.

: I think adding "obvious" is adding a presumption which is not in the source text

Yes, it is not in the source text but it is my interpretation of 'para muestra, un botón' if you read what it means in Spanish.

As an example from the Torah / As the Torah exemplifies/illustrates
"Como prueba un botón" is a somewhat common saying in Spanish. I'm not aware of other variations of it, although, I'm sure there is and that's why it doesn't ring a bell. Either way it can be translated as "As an example from the Torah / As the Torah exemplifies/illustrates.." I personally believe those are a good fit for the voice of what you're translating. There is, however, a sort of equivalent saying in English in case you wish to use that instead. In English, there's the expression "the proof is in (eating) the pudding." Note the (eating) as many people leave it out. I've mostly seen it as "the proof is in the pudding", although technically (eating) "should" be there, so as to indicate that the proof (of the taste of the pudding) is provided by actually eating (or tasting) the pudding. Similar to how "Como prueba un botón" tells you that you do not need big proof to prove your point.
Both are semantically close I think. Hope it helps!

Spanish term (edited):
Para muestra, un botón de la Torá
This verse from the Torah serves as a sample
Posibles traducciones:
As an example, here is a quotation from the Torah
This verse from the Torah serves as a sample
One/This example/quotation from the Torah is enough to prove it
Shalom en este 2022 que dicen que ha comenzado

"the proof is in reading the Torah"
There is a saying in Spanish "para muesta basta un botón" that could be translated as "the proof is in (eating) the pudding"
Maybe you can translate the pun this way
