Spanish term

barrido fotográfico

Spanish to English Science Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts)
This is from an archeological text talking about how the scientist document a specimen. The English expression is on the tip of my tongue, but I'm not coming up with it...any ideas?

Además, se realizó un barrido fotográfico con un objetivo macro. Esto supuso la toma de 19 fotografías digitales de alta resolución (figura 2a).

Discussion

Lisa Mann (asker) Oct 2, 2006:
my guess I think it is a series of photographs taken one after the other so that when you put them all together you have the whole picture - is that a photographic sweep?

I'm not sure if this is what you need, or if it refers to a time-lapse shots, but it might be useful.
