Comment I know this is an old one, but just in case my comment might help - The Spanish term "cartón pluma" refers to foam board, full stop. The fact that it's called "cartón" doesn't mean it actually is made of cartón, it's just a name, and it is probably called so because "cartón pluma" resembles "cartón" in a way.

disagree Lisa McCarthy : Should be 'foamboard'. If you look at images for 'cartón pluma' and 'foamboard' in Google you will see that this is correct. Foamboard is a common material in making models.
