"coser" la guitarra

Spanish to English Art/Literary Music flamenco
It's an interview with flamenco singers. Here's the context:

Los que daban las luces… no sabían “coser” la guitarra, joé…y estaban dando las luces allí en el tablao…

Is it simply 'play'?
