root canal obturation (aka obturation of the root canal), intraradicular post

I'm not clear on whether "espigo muñón" is an intraradicular post in general, or a specific kind.

How I found it: \"Obturación\" seemed like a likely cognate, so I did a search on \"obturation\" and \"tooth\", and several of the pages mentioned \"root canal obturation\" or \"obturation of the root canal.\" Since the root canal is indeed called a conducto, the first term was easy. I figured a muñon was probably a post, so I looked up \"intraradicular\" and \"tooth\" and was please to see that the usual context was in the term \"intraradicular post.\" I can\'t figure out, though, whether \"espigo muñon\" together is just the post, or if it might be a cap or other object with the post built into the bottom.
