Spanish term

200,600

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Geography
This is from El Salvador.

I can't find any evidence to show that this is a formal way of expressing latitude and longitude.

Del anterior punto No. 1 se mide 2,500 metros con rumbo Este Franco para llegar al esquinero Noreste punto No. 2 de coordenadas Latitud 200,600 y Longitud 333,300.

Your suggestions are appreciated!

Discussion

Peter Guest Aug 20, 2014:
decimal expression in common use.
Charles Davis Aug 20, 2014:
Decimal expression of latitude/longitude It's quite standard. For example, the Eiffel Tower is at
48° 51' 29.1348'' N
2° 17' 40.8984'' E
This can also be expressed as
48.858093
2.294694

might be just as simple as that

not sure to what extent of precision the Spanish takes it but if it goes this far, the substitution of a point for a comma in English would work
Note from asker:
Yes, that's what I'm thinking, but I thought it was expressed in minutes and degrees. Thanks, David!
