"KIK"

Spanish to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy strange abbreviation on transcript
Transcript for graduate studies in Guadalajara.
Column headers are "Materia," "KIK", "Califiación," and "Profesor." Under KIK we have C101 listed next to the first 3 courses; C201 listed next to the second 3 courses; then we have c302 and c 103 and c 104 and c 204 and c 304. It looks like course level or academic period.

Discussion

Henry Hinds Sep 14, 2009:
CONTEXT This is probably within the CONTEXT of a specific institution, so you (not us) should consult that institution's website. If you can find no clue, then merely include a note, "meaning unknown" because acronyms are not language and you are not expected to know them all.
Laura Gómez Sep 14, 2009:
"K" for "key"? Debe ser una clave o algo así... aunque no he encontrado nada...

Course Code

I've taught on several undergraduate programmes at an English University where all the courses have similar numbers. As a column header 'Course Code' would be used to make it clear to the students that the code given refers to a particular course/subject.
