Hi all,
This is taken from an advertisement for a series of conferences and workshops, the subject of which will be urban construction and town planning. I'm baffled by the term 'producto-ciudad capitalista'.
Desde XXXXX (centro internacional de cultura contemporánea de XXXXX) estamos desarrollando un programa de conferencias, debates y talleres titulado "Construcciones en un contexto urbano".
El objetivo de las jornadas es celebrar la semana internacional de arquitectura y poner sobre la mesa de debate diferentes posiciones entorno a la construcción de la ciudad.
Conscientes de la herencia dejada por los procesos de construcción basados en rendimientos puramente económicos, nos planteamos tres ejes de reflexión principales:
_Herencias:
(el patrimonio y la necesidad de monumentos)
_Políticas otras:
(del ***producto-ciudad capitalista*** a la recuperación de la experiencia)

How it is compiled, what data are needed
The city product is the total product of a city as defined in national accounts procedures (USD$). This may be interpreted as either total income or value-added (wages plus business surpluses plus taxes plus imports), or total final demand (consumption plus investment plus exports).
The city product should be measured annually per capita.

Hi Jack, yes, that's what I think they are saying here - moving away from the merely profitable and placing greater importance on people's emotional experience of these architectural spaces.
