Spanish term

presentarse como tensión entre opuestos

Spanish to English Other Archaeology Text from the Canary Islands

BNN Medical Tr. Aug 15, 2017:
I think it is talking about the interaction between the hot and cold parts of the air, making them always be "in tension" between each other. So "(...) which is presented in the summit as a tension between opposites" seems adequate to me.

???? Although perhaps not as figurative as water, temperature is another climatic characteristic with juxtaposed opposites in the highlands.

My thought about "clash" is that it might be going too far. To me, it seems that "tension" implies an interaction or interplay (which could also be used here) and the *possibility* of a clash.

(appear) diametrically opposed

Perhaps this would get the idea of tension across without making it sound like a violent clash
