Slovak term
ohrozovací delikt
Slovak to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
consumer protection
a type of crime committed by, for instance, publishing a misleading advertisement, even if nobody is actually misled, hence "ohrozovací".
e.g. "ohrozovací delikt (stačí možnosť vyvolania mylnej domnienky o tovare či službe bez toho, aby k jej vyvolaniu skutočne došlo)" https://is.bivs.cz/th/10212/bisk_b/bakalarska_praca_finis.tx...
It's an overarching term for various crimes, but it doesn't necessarily create a risk of bodily harm to somebody, so endangerment (or any variation thereof) probably doesn't cut it.

Note from asker:
Thanks @farna, this would fit the bill for one of those crimes, but the trouble is that the above is a lot broader term covering myriad crimes (as diverse as misleading advertising, DUI, possession of counterfeiting equipment, etc.) |

Note from asker:
Certainly not, it's got nothing to do with threats. Thanks anyway though |

endangering tort
Tipnul bych si něco takového, ale bylo by potřeba dohledat.
Note from asker:
I'm sort of leery of using 'endangering' here, but obviously thank you @babylondon anyways! |
