Russian term

неорганически

Russian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) investment

I'm not happy about just translating неорганически as "inorganic", it doesn't mean anything to me.

Peer comment(s):

agree Rachel Douglas : With "M&A", doesn't need "activities." Or, if Jack wants to have the person not use the lingo "inorganic" or "M&A," a descriptive translation might also work: "... generate growth internally, as well as by acquiring assets from elsewhere."

thank you! I myself think, though, that inorganic fits the bill for this context

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you. Decided after checking your reference to use "inorganically" after all."

even if not organically

... we will grow on our own, even if not organically ...
Peer comment(s):

neutral danya : I am afraid you have reversed the meaning here / or, rather, made an oxymoron

FWIW, it's "вероятно, и не X тоже" as "even if not Х"

opportunistic (growth, development)

For example, it is possible to say something like *our growth may also be opportunistic*...
Whereas instead of the term: *быть «оппортунистами»*, you may use: *we will take advantage of all opportunities*
Pls. see definition of "opportunistic".
Example sentence:

XXX

XXX

Peer comment(s):

disagree Ilan Rubin (X) : This isn't the same. There are opportunistic acquisitions (ad hoc) and there are more deliberately planned acquisition strategies.

acquisitionally

This is a standard M&A term - to grow acquisitionally, etc.. Of course you can use alternatives such as 'via M&A', 'via acquisition'. Actually 'inorganically' is also used frequently in this context.
Peer comment(s):

agree danya : acquisitionally seems to be rare, while acquisitional growth googles well :)

by other than organic growth; by non-organic growth

I am a former money manager, and I still read millions of words of financial publications per year in English. I have only rarely seen "inorganic growth" and don't like the sound of it.

unnatural growth

If we eliminate the impact of these factors we find that the growth of Chinese tax revenues is not unnatural,
but by and large in line with the growth of GDP.

unnatural growth versus natural growth

natural growth

will be self-generating and self-sustaining, and the economy will be growing at its potential, as its productive capacity expands.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Ilan Rubin (X) : this is about company growth via M&A, nothing to do with GDP growth
