To be distingusihed from UK capital gains tax on disposal of the land and from the erstwhile, controversial Land Development Tax that never lasted long. In heritance tax also covers the one-time 'Capital Transfer Tax' under the Labour Government and usually referred to as a taxa e.g. transferului 'patrimonial' in most Romance languages.
