It sounds like the sump drain is draining liquid into the "urokit," but I can only confirm "urocit," which is a medication.

Urokit is an orally/IV administered medication Thank you to everyone who has helped with this. After looking at the "Urokit" page that Mario mentioned, it seems that although "Urokit" comes in a pouch in this case, it is still an orally or intravenously administered drug. So the trademarked use of "Urokit" would not fit my context.

I'm still with Mario Gilmar, Only one of those references uses lowercase for Urokit. Lots of people spell kleenex and xerox in lowercase in English, which doesn't mean that it's the proper way.

Again, I believe urokit is being used as a generic name that has found it's way in the jargon of hospital staff in some parts of Brazil to refer to UCDs, just like we use other brand names in everyday speech, like xerox, band-aid, jeep, etc.

Capitalization I'm with Mario on this point. One of my hobbies is reading style manuals for written English - I have a collection of over 40 of them. My "bible" is the Chicago Manual of Style. They all say to capitalize trademarked names.

Acho que é tipo xerox, omo, jeep, iPod,etc. Marcas que entrararam para o vocabulário do dia a dia.....temos que fazer uma xerox deste documento, usar omo para lavar a roupa, etc. etc.

Actually... I'm supposing they are using the original Urokit, by the Phenicia Group. If that's not the case and there is evidence in the context otherwise, then of course Roxane should not use Urokit, but your suggestion instead. In that case, I have to agree with you, no doubt.

@ Gilmar, I just figured if it's a trademark with a patent, we shouldn't use it in lower case and in a generic sense, above all for products of other brands. It should be Urokit, capitalized, AMOF with the "TM" or "(R)" in superscript. If the author used the term as a generic noun, they made a mistake the translator shouldn't repeat. But that will be Roxane's call anyway.

Yes, definitely not a medication As per Roxane's own hunch: "It sounds like the sump drain is draining liquid into the "urokit," ....it seems that in some parts of Brazil they use this name to refer to "BOLSA COLETORA DE URINA" which is what I translated in my answer and I found some Brazilian websites with Urokit and then the description in parenthesis as the in the link I provided.
