Japanese term

現業機関

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Transport / Transportation / Shipping Trains
This appears in a JR Freight organizational chart:
現業機関(総合鉄道部、駅、操車場、信号場、機関区、車両所)

It seems to encompass all their branch offices in various regions of Japan. I'm thinking it may mean their facilities that are *currently in operation*, but I've not been able to confirm it yet. Anyone familiar with the term?

Note from asker:
Ishigami-san, I can't find either the source term or your suggested translation in the URL you provided. Can you give more info re. your explanation, please? Thanks!

Raitei is right. I tried to clean up this pretty poor Weblio entry on the run, yet could have looked at it a bit more critically and clean up this ridiculous literal translation of 区 as "District" which does not fit the context at all.
This said, would not throw the baby with the bath water. True, Weblio's entries can be of very uneven standard but still find them useful, not for their English translations, but for their pointers and suggestions on the possible fields involved, when really short of ideas or flair to pick up a trail ...

My suggestion is generic and tentative.
Ishigami-san's is more specific and I consider it better than mine.
I would recommend it as, IMHO, it circumvents the objection raised by Raitei.
Example sentence:

a railroad operations facility called the Electric Power District

neutral Raitei : Not so simple. I attempted to answer this yesterday but decided not to. First, the example sentences on Weblio are garbage. Second, to add to the complexity, JR uses 「現業機関」 in slightly different ways. J-to-E is a mind-blowingly difficult pair!
