日本語 term

掲揚

日本語 から 英語 技術/工学 環境&生態学
This appears in an explanation about a company's plastic-free packaging for their products. I only know this term as meaning "hoisting" (e.g. a flag), but I'm not sure that translation would make sense in the sentence:

最低容積で必要な緩衝効果を得るため、掲揚を最適化しました。

What I have so far is:
"The ???? was optimized to obtain the necessary cushioning effect at the minimum volume."

I'm wondering if it means something like the peaks and troughs of the internal casing that holds the items in place, but would appreciate any other suggestions, or some ideas of what to call this in (US) English.

Thank you!

Thank you! Thank you for the typo suggestion. I suspect that is correct. I just couldn't think of the typo alternative myself.
Typo? Judging from the context, "掲揚(keiyo) could be a typo of "形状(keijo)" that means "shape".

Hoister

After some research, it seems like this is, in fact, a hoist or variations of it. I kind of thought that maybe "The hoister was optimized to obtain the necessary cushioning effect at the minimum volume." might work depending on the context of the rest of the document.
Example sentence:

"The hoister was optimized to obtain the necessary cushioning effect at the minimum volume."
