Italian term

in esecuzione

Italian to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
- in esecuzione dell’accordo, il Comandante si imbarcava dal porto ...... sostava in porto per circa 30 giorni ed il mese successivo, seguendo le istruzioni dell’armatore, giungeva a Gallipoli e ormeggiava presso la Banchina .... ove la nave, ad oggi, è ancora attraccata;

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): Shera Lyn Parpia, Yvonne Gallagher

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Peer comment(s):

agree James (Jim) Davis : It is pretty clear that it means to perform the agreement here and not to sign it.

in pursuance of

Maybe looks counter-intutive, but a pretty standard Euro-speak translation forc all the various Romance lingo forms of 'execution' (performance or implementation) of a contract or guarantee.

Example sentence:

Ways and Means Advances. 35. In pursuance of the agreement between the. Reserve Bank and the Central Government signed in March, 1997.

http://it.bab.la/dizionario/inglese-italiano/in-pursuance-of Careful: applicazione is a near-synonym and execution of an agreement, as Jim D. hints, doesn't mean *implementation* or performance, but signing of a contract etc.

in performance

agreements and contracts are executed when signed by both parties in English. Here, this is the actual operation or performance of the contract that is being described.

in compliance with

hello, I'd say "in compliance with the terms of the agreement". "To comply" is the verb which is usually used in legal-formal language.
