There are many types of temporary workers.

To call the category in question just "temporary workers" is, at best, incomplete or even misleading.
There is a crucial difference here from just any temporary worker:

The employment scheme concerning "lavoratori assunti in somministrazione" is very particular. It involves not two (final employer – worker) but three components: final employer – agency – worker. In fact, the agency worker is actually employed (sic!) and remunerated (sic) not by what for the lack of a better choice of terms I called final employer but by the agency, which charges the final employer and then, I repeat, pays the worker.
