When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Karmano Aug 30, 2013:
Urban and architectural planning requirements Szabályzat in this regard is a protocol, that describes requirements (előírás). Urban development = városfejlesztés, thus urban planning = városrendezés. Építési, when it comes to appearance and not structural (civil engineering) questions, is architectural.
Zoning is a category too large.

@ John You are right in saying that zoning can incorporate development regulations beyond land use rules, but the question was "kerületi városrendezési és építési szabályzat", which is planning and building regulation matter.
Protection of trees in urban areas are generally the subject of town planning, so I am not surprised about the wording in the original text.
For example, in England the subject of tree protection comes under the Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation) (England) Regulations 2012.
Generally, the purpose of zoning is primarily the regulation of land use, i.e. don't build a chemical factory, or any factory for that matter, in the middle of a residential zone, or a single storey bungalow amongst five storey blocks of flats.
If it was different in Hungary and it would be zoning matter, then the wording would have included zoning instead of planning.

disagree juvera : Mint az idézett cikk is írja, ez "land use planning" - a terület felhasználására, a különböző felhasználásra kitűzött területek meghatározására vonatkozó szabályok, nem városrendezési és építési szabályzatok. /See discussion...

Maybe "urban planning regulations" is better but "zoning" is used often broadly to refer to development regs beyond land-use rules in the strict sense. There are also building codes and regs, but what do they have to do with protecting rows of trees?

district planning and building regulations

- according to district planning and building regulations, a protected line of trees is located (at the site)

vagy

- a line of trees, protected in accordance with district planning and building regulations, is located (at the site)

agree juvera : A második variáció.

neutral Ildiko Santana : szerintem "urban planning and building regulations" pontosabb lenne // Igaz! Figyelmetlen voltam. "...for the district" esetleg? (Annyi biztos, hogy nem "zoning")

persze... viszont akkor kimarad a "kerületi"
