@ Elizabeth Would you please be so kind to confirm your choice?

Could this be a translation?

Yoana Ivanova Apr 19, 2019:
My digging also lead to the same conclusion - key performance parameters vs worst case parameters.
Steffen Walter Apr 19, 2019:
Question is ... ... if "Eckgrößen" is synonymous with "Worst-Case-Größen", but I don't think so. Could this be standard/average (or even "base-case"/"baseline") parameters (performance parameters?) vs. worst-case parameters?
philgoddard Apr 19, 2019:
Could it mean benchmarks, like Eckdaten?

key-parameters

One size as a parameter literally 'does fit all', this orginally being my (big-beer) gut reaction or rather standard translation that used to work in virtually every accounting and non-accounting context - in the absence of Yoana's posting of the same answer predicated on her well-researched discussion entry.

Gracias, thanks and danke schön!
agree Steffen Walter : The "design parameters/dimensions" mentioned in your example might be a valid option, too.

Thanks - and yes, indeed.
agree Ventnai : But without the hyphen?

Thanks. You are right about no hyphen www.sciencedirect.com/topics/engineering/key-parameter - a journalist relative of mine has written ENG articles & books without any hyphens, but consider hyphenating in a noun 'pile-up' e.g. key-facts & -parameters.

disagree Steffen Walter : I fail to see how this answer could be relevant to the requested term. "Finite-element analysis" would be "Finite-Elemente-Analyse" in German.

threshold size or key size

I propose threshold size or key size. "size" can be rplaced by "diameter" as this is the most important parameter. Some stents can be inflated, but may have a standard size under specified conditions as well as other non-inflatable stents.

Fretting Corrosion
For coronary stents, because tortuosity of a target deployment site could result in increased micromotion between components or multiple stents, the mock deployment site should be bent to a worst-case clinically relevant radius of curvature, which should be smaller than most anatomical situations encountered in clinical use. For example, for most coronary indications, FDA recommends a 15mm radius of curvature as this represents worst case for 90% of the population based on published angiographic measurements.7 For other indications such as use in coronary bifurcations, please provide a similarly robust clinical rationale for the radius of curvature selected.

Fatigue Testing -

(1) A finite element or other stress analysis that identifies the peak stresses in the stent when subjected to a worst-case physiological load. The amount of residual stress must be determined and accounted for when calculating safety factors. This analysis should demonstrate that fatigue failure of the stent will not occur during the implant life of the stent.
