Discussion

David Moore (X) Sep 30, 2012:
Mucus is the word for the secretion, so I'd suggest you use "mucus deposits" (or "secretions"). "Mucinous" seems to be "new-speak" for "muc*O*us", probably to make it more easily distinguishable, but it's NOT the same word.
Salih YILDIRIM Sep 29, 2012:
@uyuni You could have been politer by not daring to express your comment, as a clompetitor!!!
LindsayBell (asker) Sep 29, 2012:
Thanks to all of you. Sry for confusion, the report is from dictation, so I thought it might be a typo for Schleimniederschläge? For the glossary, the subject is therefore Schleimniederschläge, however the original report says SchleimHAUTniederschläge.
uyuni Sep 29, 2012:
@Salih Yildirim And why not 'mucinous deposits' or 'mucosa(l) deposits', depending on Lindsay´s reply to David´s request for clarification?

Please provide some sources.

uyuni Sep 29, 2012:
@David (and Lindsay) Yes, this is crucial for properly answering the question.
'Schleim*haut*niederschläge' sounds odd to me, though...
David Moore (X) Sep 29, 2012:
Query Is it correct with or without the "..haut.." bit in the middle?

Watch this if a glossary entry is made!

Thank you very much, Dr. Lofthouse
disagree David Moore (X) : "Mucinous" is not "mucus", but merely "related to..." The German clearly relates to "Schleim" directly.
