No, I think not Pina. Business sound systems takes us somewhere else entirely - out of the shopping centre, sorry mall where you are, and into the factory/office

In the light of that important extra context, I think you need something like this to cover all eventualities.

I don't know if any more elegant term exists, but as a former sound installation engineer myself, if I came across this, I'd know exactly the sort of thing they meant.

I only noticed later in the text a reference to music being played in restaurants for birthdays (a bit strange... I never heard of this) but thought it best to incorporate this into the description of "sonorisation commerciale". I will also add "in-store sound systems" to the glossary as this is probably the most common definition. Thank you all for your input."

gets a few ghits and cannot possibly be misinterpreted as " sound systems you can buy from retailers"

Note that according to the Crown Audio reference, if you want to use the word "retail" you could call the system a "retail STORE" sound system" or a "commercial sound system for a retail STORE". This avoids the retail/wholesale confusion. But you can simply call it a "commercial sound system" for whatever type of business you like (in your case a shopping centre or shopping mall it seems.
