Rafraichir les 2 épargnes du carter - up to now I've been hazarding a guess at 'flanges' but that doesn't work here - any ideas anyone?

chris collister May 1, 2013:
Much more context, please! "Epargne" often means masking off an area for painting or sand-blasting, and a "carter" can be many things from a box to a crank-case. Perhaps it means make sure the mask is sound, making good as necessary?
Tony M May 1, 2013:
Context? What type of activity is involved here, with this 'rafraîchir'? The use in conjunction with 'épargne' makes me thing of painting...

And it would also certainly help to know what kind of equipment we are dealing with here? What is this 'carter' fitted to?
