A pharmaceutical company has commissioned a design company to produce packaging for its drugs. If the packaging design is submitted to the client on CD-ROM, the client must conduct a "controle d'ouverure croisé" on another computer. For the "controle croisé" which must also be conducted, I've used "crossfooting check" though am not sure if this is correct ... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes, when you develop software, it runs fine on the programmer's machine because some necessary libraries are already installed. It won't run on the customer's machine bacause the libraries are missing. This has happened to me and it can be a major pain in the rear to figure out what it is that is missing.
They want a cross -check that the software will run on a non-programmer's machine before it is delivered.
