On the CV of an individual working as a project director in a large banking concern that has undergone a recent merger; he works in Asset Management. I know "accompagnement" has occurred several times in old Kudoz questions, and past suggestions have gone with "support" - would that be the case here? Thanks.

yes, at first sight, "user support" would be acceptable, in my view.
However, given it involves a merger and the tasks he did, I wonder whether "change management" might work - e.g. Head of user change management for Asset Mgt during the merger process. It's a bit a of recent buzz word for such situations, and sounds a bit more go-getting than just "support"...
