French term

vérification individuelle de série

French to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng power distribution system
Fabricant d’ensemble

I assume the meaning is that every power distribution assembly with its own serial number is individually tested, but is there a set expression in English?

Here is a list of the verifications as carried out by a Swiss company manufacturing similar systems:

@Tony Thanks Tony - your thoughts match mine.
Tony M Nov 15, 2018:
@ Asker I admit to being a little confused here!
Normally, we differentiate between 'type testing', where a small number of samples are tested and the results accepted for all equipment of the same type; and 'individual testing', where every single item is tested. So on the face of it, this sounds like a contradiction in terms!
However, I have a vague recollection that I have indeed come across a sort of half-way house, where a more restricted range of tests are performed individually; but I have to sat I am very hazy about the details, though it sounds possibly like what you may have here.
Remember that 'série' can be 'production run'.

routine verification

From the IEC glossary

EN routine verification
verification of each assembly performed during and/or after manufacture to confirm whether it complies with the requirements of the relevant assembly standard
FR vérification individuelle de série
vérification de chaque ensemble réalisée au cours et/ou à l'issue de la fabrication pour s’assurer qu'il est conforme aux exigences de la norme d’ensembles applicable

This document describes the changes to the standard

IEC 61439 The new standard for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear ASSEMBLIES
The current IEC 60439
IEC 60439-1
type-tested and partially type-tested assemblies
The new IEC 61439
Design verification replaces type tests so the discrimination between type-tested assemblies (TTA) and partially type-tested assemblies (PTTA) is eliminated.
The second stage verification is the routine verification. This is performed to verify that the materials and workmanship are in accordance with the requirements of the standard. Routine verification replaces the current “routine test”. It is more detailed but essentially the new requirements are the same as in the IEC 60439. This verification has to be carried out for each completed ASSEMBLY and it is the responsibility of the ASSEMBLY Manufacturer.
