French term

chariot d'extraction

French to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng transformers etc.
Unfortunately not a lot of context here. The document is giving specifications for transformer switchgear. It's in a table, whose title is "Appareillages et Réducteurs de Mesure". The LH column says "Disjoncteur débrochable" (drawout circuit breaker?? -please correct me if I'm barking up the wrong tree) and the RH column says "Ne doit pas nécessiter de chariot d'extraction".

There you have it. It's all I've got.

http://ec.europa.eu/eurodicautom/Controller is very helpful. débrochable is either plug-in or slide-in. So the writer is looking for a plug-in unit that can be connected by a single person without the need for a wheeled cart.
Incidentally the last EN term on the page referred to is somewhat wide of the mark.

Phil: My comment "somewhat wide of the mark" that you refer to is simply because it's quite possible to have a unit that is "débrochable" that is not wheel-mounted - as requested by the writer you are translating for one.

I should have added that this whole text seems to be non-specific as to the bulk, dimensions or weight. So a chariot amovible as in the Document 2 in EDA page is not a box with its own wheels - the chariot is amovible apparently here. Hair-splitting, I do agree.
Note from asker:
Actually, when I search for "débrochable" with Eurodicautom, I'm not sure the term at the bottom is wide of the mark. The French definition is exactly the device we're talking about here: "dans un tableau de distribution, armature en fers profilés, supportant, par l'intermédiaire de supports isolants, le ou les jeux de barres et les appareils de coupure et de protection des arrivées et des départs ". Do you feel the English is wrong (switch cabinet with wheel-mounted modules)? Is it really a trolley?
Peer comment(s):

agree Bourth (X) : Don't know if this is a separate item or just a fuse truck, c/b truck, etc. Google it.
