French term

contrôle CF

French to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks quality plan inspection
This comes in a table where the contractor sets out the quality controls for all the equipment it uses ((marking it NF compliant etc.).
In the section for vehicles, which includes cars, cranes and trucks, they are marked "CONTROLE CF". Does anyone expert know if this is a technical check (eddy current testing for instance) or a more general abbreviation in quality that I've not connected with? Please?

If, in the section concerned, they are talking about welds, then it is very probably "eddy current inspection": See https://www.eddyfi.com/fr/technologies/courants-de-foucault-... and https://fr.groupeonet.com/Nos-metiers/Technologies/Controle-... for example.

@ Chris: There are indeed references to other ND tests altho' not in this precise section. Can you think of any other possibilities if you believe there could be so many? I've googled for hours without finding any remotely likely!
chris collister Feb 17, 2019:
The context doesn't provide evidence that this is, or is not, an eddy current test. Being just a 2-letter acronym, there might be hundreds of possibilities. However, if there are additional references to other ND testing techniques (X-ray, ultrasonic, etc.) in the same section, then eddy current inspection of welds would be a runner, but personally, I would like to see more evidence, just to be sure.
