I think this is a kind of social class in Pakistan; if I remember rightly they had been low-caste Hindus before Pakistan was created, and adopted Christianity more or less en masse.

Please write both in English and in Nastaliq/Urdu script.

agree Irshad Muhammad : Another thing to add to elaborate further;It is made up of two words Khak=mud/dust and roob=cleaner, so you rightly said it means " the person who cleans the dust.
