Robert Carter Dec 21, 2017:
I agree with Lorena, this must be about filling orders. "Get a fill" is not idiomatic in the sense of "getting your fill of something". (Saludos y felices fiestas, Lorenita!)
lorenab23 Dec 21, 2017:
@asker Based on your previous questions, you seem to be dealing with the stock market/trading. It would really help if you could provide what comes before the particular sentence, I have the feeling that "when I entered my trade" here does not mean when I started my job (at a particular trade).

Estimada colega:
Si sólo ponés "General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters " sin ningúna indicación del verdadero contexto, es lógico que no todas las respuestas recibidas te serán útiles.

Fill - Investopedia

For example, if a trader places a buy order for a stock at $50 and a seller agrees to the price, the sale has been made and the order has been filled. The $50 price is the execution price, which also makes it the fill price - it is the price that allows the transaction to be completed.
Peer comment(s):

agree Robert Carter : Yes, given Lorena's comments in the discussion and the fact that "fill" in this sense is not idiomatic outside stock market jargon, this seems much more plausible than the other suggestions.

Many thanks Robert.

also have your fill of something

to have or experience as much as you want of something:

I go to my mother’s house every week to get my fill of her home cooking

to get one's fill
To have, consume, or experience as much (of something) as one desires or is able to. Make sure you get your fill of cake—we made plenty for everyone! I've gotten my fill of people giving me advice about my love life. Janet: "Would you like any more of this curry?" Mark: "No, thank you, I've gotten my fill."

agree JohnMcDove : Sí, la idea es esa. Aporto un par de opciones de redacción adicionales. Saludos y felices fiestas. :-)

Muchas gracias, John. Felices fiestas :)
neutral Robert Carter : Hi Lugoben. This seems entirely the wrong idea to me, "get my fill" is not the same as "get a fill". I think Lorena and Patinba are probably right here that it relates to stock market trading. Saludos!//Gracias, igualmente!

There seems to be three ways for this: to fill/get a fill/to get one's fill. The theme is General/lGreeting/Letters. Unless it was done mistakenly, it is not about investment. Saludos. Felices Fiestas. :)

obtener una cifra satisfactoria

Otra opción, en la línea de Lugoben.

Obtuve o conseguí una cifra que me satisfizo...

Conseguí una cifra de $ 1657.347, cosa que me satisfizo.

Saludos cordiales y felices Navidades.

Saludos cordiales.
