Note from asker:
It was my first impulse, to merely translate it literally. But I just though I'd double check first to see if anyone had heard about this beast... ;-) |

javali (wild boar)
Hello Daniela, more context (place, etc.) would be useful, but I think is a description of a wild boar.

Physical Characteristics: The body of the European wild hog, a non-native (exotic) member of the park's fauna, is built somewhat like that of a bison, being higher and heavier in the shoulder region. It is covered with thin, coarse hair. Hogs are usually black, ***but the tips of the guard hairs are silvery-gray *** or brown.

De nada, Daniella. Romania... then I will no doubt. There are not other wild pigs in Europe.

Note from asker:
Gracias, Andrés! The context is merely literary, it just says that it is a huge silverback boar. If it helps, the story takes place in Romania. |

Eu consultaria o Marcelo Lino.

Thanks, Marlene. It is just a shame that picture only shows the eye! It looks like it is silver-coloured though. |
