In Korrektur zu meinem anderen Vorschlag: Da hier auf die Lunge bezogen: Alveolarwände gemäß Link (unten): "...Alveolar attachments are the alveolar walls radially attached to the small airways..."

Danke Bettina! Also sind die attachments die Alveolarwände, die an den kleinen Atemwegen befestigt sind. Denke mal, dass ich dann in meiner Übersetzung "Verlust der Alveolarwandstruktur" schreiben werde. |

Kenne "attachment" in diesem Zusammenhang (Fortsatz), denke, dass dies hier gemeint ist...

Danke, aber ich denke, Alveolarfortsätze bezieht sich mehr auf Zahnmedizin, was bei Google zu finden ist. Lungenbläschen haben m.E. keine Fortsätze. |

Ich halte deinen Vorschlag für treffend. Vom Kontext her wird hier wohl die Entwicklung des mit COPD einhergehenden Lungenemphysems beschrieben, die
"...irreversible Überblähung der kleinsten luftgefüllten Strukturen (Lungenbläschen, Alveolen) der Lunge..."
