English term

calling range

English to French Science Mathematics & Statistics Appareils d'immunodosage
The term occurs in a letter sent to the customer of a specific bioassay product.
"This info concerns an investigation resulting from a complaint. The investigation revealed that the "calling ranges" for the High Level Gentamicin Resistance reactions are reversed in the old package insert of the XXX cards. The package insert has discrepancies in the "Contents of the Card" Table for the drug test Gentamicin High Level Resistance"
I searched the term but it only seems to belong to the field of poker game.
I suspect it refers to statistics but this still has to be confirmed.
Many thanks for your help.

@Tony If you look up "calling range" in the context of pharmaceuticals, you will see that it seems to apply to effects that fall within a range of values that need to be reported.
Tony M Nov 13, 2019:
@ Asker I suspect this is being used here in the sense we find in 'too close to call' — for example, when the difference between two competitors is too tiny to alllow them to be separated.

In this instance, I assume it might refer to the ranges of values over which one can claim, or not, a clear-cut result.

En effet, il s'agit d'un terme de poker et plus généralement de statistiques...
C'est ainsi qu'on le dirait en français.
