English term

subscription for/by

English to French Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Proofreading
The document is a contract involving the company (subsidiary), the EBRD and a third party.
The translation is aimed at offices in Africa in order to check previous agreements, since the contract must have been modified since.

I have completed a translation and I would like a second point of view on the translations of the phrases.

In the phrase below, I understand:
the obligation of EBRD to subscribe for the EBRD Subscription Shares
As:
les obligations de BERD à souscrire à des actions BERD

In the phrase below, I understand
the subscription by EBRD to [number] new shares of the Company
As:
la souscription de BERD à [number] nouvelles actions de la société
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): GILLES MEUNIER

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Germaine Nov 8, 2019:
Aurélie, Pour bien faire, il faudrait la définition de ce que sont les "EBRD Subscription Shares": les actions de la souscription/du placement/de l'émission d'EBRD? Pour l'instant, je lis:

the obligation of EBRD to subscribe for the EBRD Subscription Shares
l'obligation de EBRD de souscrire [à la Souscription] [au Placement] [à l'émission] d'actions de EBRD (ce qui m'étonne énormément: ce n'est pas tous les jours qu'un org s'oblige à souscrire ses propres actions! - ou alors, la "souscription d'actions EBRD" vise les actions de quelqu'un d'autre... ou il faudrait lire "l'obligation de la Société de souscrire les actions de la Souscription EBRD").

In the phrase below, I understand
the subscription by EBRD to [number] new shares of the Company
As:
