no, "screw-purpose nut" is the term, the dash is not a separator but the normal binder. As far as I can understand it, it means something like a nut which has the function of screwing. At least if I compare this term to the one used in patent "EP 1096892 B", in the description of the invention. You can find there "..type of tool 11 for screwing in the bone screw 1" followed shortly after by "...the screw-purpose tool 11 ...". How to best render this in French is another question.

Suggestion First: the term is not "screw—purpose nut"; the dash is used as a separator between each term. I believe the sense of "purpose" here is "dédié", but I admit thati'm not at all familiar with this usage in patents. So I suggest you use "dédié" after each term: "écrou dédié", "passage dédié pour la circulation des billes", etc.
